I am looking for information on the best hospitals for treating liver cancer in Illinois and surrounding states. Surgery probably isn’t an option.

It’s a medical procedure. It’s like making them offer root canals? It’s just dumb. It’s not even like Catholic hospitals are the ONLY hospitals in some states? Why can’t that person go to an abortion clinic?

to rule out a possession instead of a mental disorder? i know hospitals have mental wards that house patients with traumatic, chemical or neurological disorders.

so how come they dont provide with those that might be possessed?

Because exorcism is a serious religious thing. And usually what a religious person would call "possessed" is really multiple personality disorder. Look it up. Anyway, hospitals couldn’t and shouldn’t perform exorcisms. I’d imagine because it may be offensive i suppose.

You know those screens that show the person’s heart rate? They are in hospitals and if the person’s heart stops it has a flat line and a long beeping noise.

The name of it is right on the tip of my tongue, I just can’t seem to put my finger on it! Any ideas?

After graduating from med school, I plan to go to Spain or France to train for neurosurgery. Which hospitals from either provide that opportunity?

The CHU (centre hospitalier universitaire) Bordeaux-Pellegrin (Bordeaux) is one of the best in Europe when it comes to neurosurgery.
Of course you have to speak French.

how long will someone be in a psychiatric hospital if they admit themselves?

My boyfriend just admitted himself into a psychiatric hospital to get help, how long will he be in there for, am i going to be able to visit, and will he be able to call me?

I can answer your question because I did intake work at a psychiatric hospital for years.

First of all, your friend can have visitors and can make and receive phone calls while he is hospitalized and so you should plan on visiting him. Call the hospital to find out what their visiting hours are.
Secondly, if he is a voluntary patient, he was not committed or being held for examination for a set amount of time. And so his doctor can release him at any time. Or he can make a request to be discharged. But the length of time he will be hospitalized has to do with what is wrong with him and how well he is able to recover…just as in a general hospital.
And so what your friend needs is your support. Be sure to tell him that you want him to recover and be well and that you are pulling for him.

Your friend was given a written list of his rights on admission and if he chooses to, he can tell you how long his doctor needs to keep him in the hospital and if they will be testing him. All this takes time but hospitalization is very short these days and the treatment is intensive.

Why does it cost so much to go to rehab or a psychiatric hospital?

The cost of staying in rehab or a psychiatric hospital for even a short period of time are WAY TOO MUCH. Only the rich could afford it… what the hell? Is the US health care system really that fucked up? Why the hell does it cost that much?

1. The rich are the only ones who can afford a steady supply of illicit drugs anyway (or at least it was like that before meth)
2. It’s an intense process. It takes 3 or 4 trained professionals to handle and care for 1 drug addict. rehab centers need extensive security systems to stop addicts from escaping.
