Cost for a delivery in a hospital-based birthing center?
I’m aware of the cost for a delivery in a free-standing birthing center-but what about one in a hospital based birthing center?
Would it be similar to the cost of a hospital birth?
It will be more expensive then a free standing birthing center, but it should still be cheaper then actually delivering in the hospital. Mostly because a birthing center is going to help you have a natural birth and the hospital will push for extra help like epidurals which cost a lot more money. Just call and ask both what there average cost is.
No u wrong u don’t pay hospital 2 give birth and stuff again i say no.

I don’t know, but I do know that a lot of insurances don’t cover it, and they don’t always have services in case of difficulties. If medical intervention is required, the mother is usually transported or sent to the hospital anyway. Then you have to pay the birthing center and the hospital. And if you have to be transported, you have to pay for that too. Remember, you get charged for every pair of gloves used. Every sheet they have to change, and even sterilizing the ambulance. I’ve had to pay for ambulance transport before. It’s ridiculous what they charge for. I personally would not take that chance. If there’s is an emergency for my baby before or after birth, I would feel much better knowing that we are already at a hospital.
