   I wouldn’t be surprised if the more elderly patients were to leave the hospital slightly more hard-of-hearing than when they came in. Good night that’s an awful buzz!

   i rode a dover at …
   i rode a dover at the VA hospital in lexington ky it was about 6 floors riding from 1 – 5 having a buzz indemtical to this except the buzz was a little shorter

    Not only is it the loudest Dover buzz in the elevator world but the longest too. It’s just so hard to believe that in this day in age TK still insists on using an old outdated electromechanical sounder for the floor passing sound when everyone else uses a piezo or chime instead which of course is so much easier on the ears and nerves. I believe Kobishi Electric is the manufacturer of the sounders for Thyssenkrupp as I know the old 70’s smoke detectors used something similar.

    that tk buzz is even worse than the oakbrook bloomingdale’s elevator. the buzz on that elevator sound sick (the one in bloomingdale’s)

    You should really refer to this as the TK buzz. The dover buzz is actually tolerable.
