    i know some old dover elevators not sure if their hydraulic or traction they will hold up to 30 people in one car and the machine room makes that same exact sound when they go up like if someone gets on and your are standing on the first floor you can hear the same sound in the machine room

    Looks like it is from the mid 50’s, as some Armor traction elevators have a similar cab and they are from 1955.

    Nice elevator, but it’s interesting that this is hydraulic, rather than traction. Also, maybe you can make a recording of the motor next time, if it’s not too busy.
