Why does it cost so much to go to rehab or a psychiatric hospital?

The cost of staying in rehab or a psychiatric hospital for even a short period of time are WAY TOO MUCH. Only the rich could afford it… what the hell? Is the US health care system really that fucked up? Why the hell does it cost that much?

1. The rich are the only ones who can afford a steady supply of illicit drugs anyway (or at least it was like that before meth)
2. It’s an intense process. It takes 3 or 4 trained professionals to handle and care for 1 drug addict. rehab centers need extensive security systems to stop addicts from escaping.
