Video of a newish Otis traction elevator at Grady memorial hospital in Downtown Atlanta, Georgia. Note that they used the European convention of floor numbering by going from G, then 1 instead of 2. Also, there’s a 13th floor – in a building that old!!! That’s rare, especially for an older building.

This is the main elevator in the hospital. This hospital is no longer really a hospital. there is an urgent care center on the 1st floor and most of the upper floors are being converted into dorm rooms. Roanoke Memorial has pretty much replaced this obsolete hospital. VERY ANNOYING dover buzz! here [...]
